The fifth Taegeuk embodies the image of Seon, the wind, fast and powerful yet subtle and invisible. The 20 movements (32 techniques) in the pattern incorporate rapid and sudden changes of direction. The elbow strike and hammer fist are introduced for the first time. The principle of the wind is emphasized by the sweeping actions of the hammer fist at the patterns source and the step into X-stance at the end of the pattern.
